Demi De Saint Ouen is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

This is written in plain English so you understand exactly what happens with your data.

Personal data we collect

Logatrade may collect and process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account and authentication information
  • Information provided through Google or Microsoft sign-in where necessary to authenticate or create your account
  • Trading journal entries and trade information
  • P&L information
  • Notes and emotional tags
  • Setup types
  • Account and settings information, including currency and dashboard preferences
  • Account balance where entered by you
  • Timezone and other preferences
  • Information provided when contacting support
  • Technical and security information required to operate, secure, and maintain the service

We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service.

Google and Microsoft sign-in

You may authenticate using Google or Microsoft sign-in. When you choose one of these providers, Logatrade receives the information necessary to authenticate and maintain your Logatrade account, such as your email address and basic profile information made available by that provider.

We do not receive your Google or Microsoft password, and we do not have access to unrelated information in your Google or Microsoft account.

Trading data

You may enter trading information into Logatrade, including trade records, P&L, notes, setup information, and emotional tags. This information is processed to provide the journal, analytics, risk-management, and related functionality you have requested.

Your trading data is linked to your account and is not anonymised, as it is used to display your personal trading journal and analytics.

Market-data and API integrations

Logatrade may use third-party market-data or API services where required for specific features. These providers may process information necessary to deliver those features.

Where a market-data or API provider is used for a particular feature, Logatrade will only provide information reasonably necessary to deliver that feature.

Email communications

Logatrade may use a third-party email service provider to send transactional or service-related emails. Our current email provider is Resend.

Information such as your email address and the content necessary to deliver an email may be processed by the email provider for the purpose of delivering that email. We use Resend to send service emails and, where you have consented, audit and product update emails.

Audits, waitlist and marketing emails

We collect your name, email and trading questionnaire answers from the 7-Day Audit, Prop Firm Audit and waitlist forms. This information is used to deliver the audit emails and report to you.

Lawful basis: Consent. You agreed to receive these emails when you submitted the form.

You can unsubscribe from any email at any time via the one-click unsubscribe link in it, or by emailing support@logatrade.com. Unsubscribing stops all remaining emails in that sequence.

Referral tracking

When someone visits Logatrade via a creator referral link, we record the click and a hashed, non-reversible visitor identifier to attribute referrals to the correct creator. We do not store raw IP addresses.

Payment processing

Logatrade is currently offered free of charge. No third-party payment processor is currently active.

If paid services are introduced in the future, Logatrade may use a third-party payment provider. This Privacy Policy will be updated when payment processing becomes active.

Hosting, database, and authentication

Logatrade relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the application, including hosting, database infrastructure, and authentication services.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Access to your data

Access to user data is limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service, subject to applicable law and appropriate access controls.

How we use your data

Personal data is processed to:

  • Create and maintain accounts
  • Authenticate users
  • Provide Logatrade's features
  • Store and display trading journals
  • Calculate and display analytics and risk information

  • Send necessary service communications
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data.

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: For account creation and provision of the service you have requested
  • Legal obligation: Where we are required to process data under applicable law or regulation
  • Legitimate interests: For security, fraud prevention, service administration, and limited service improvement, subject to a balancing assessment of your rights and interests
  • Consent: For audit and marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting support@logatrade.com

Data sharing

Logatrade may share or process personal data with service providers that help operate the service, including:

  • Hosting and database infrastructure providers
  • Authentication providers
  • Email providers such as Resend
  • Cloudflare, for security and bot protection (Turnstile) on our forms
  • API and market-data providers where necessary for particular features
  • Payment providers when payment functionality is introduced

We do not sell personal data. Service providers may process personal data on our behalf as necessary to provide and support the service, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, Logatrade will use appropriate safeguards required by applicable UK data-protection law.

Data retention

Your personal data is retained while your account remains active.

When you delete your account, Logatrade aims to delete personal data associated with the account within 30 days. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, or where it is reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes. Some technical backup copies may take longer to remove through normal system processes.

Data submitted through the 7-Day Audit, Prop Firm Audit and waitlist forms (name, email and trading questionnaire answers) is kept until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the following rights, subject to legal conditions and exceptions:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Restriction of processing: Ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain types of processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@logatrade.com.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and similar technologies

Logatrade may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, session management, and preferences.

Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used, we will provide information about them and obtain your consent where required by applicable law.

Children and under-18 users

Logatrade is not intended to encourage children to provide unnecessary personal information. The service may be accessible to users under 18, and Logatrade considers the UK's Children's Code where it applies and aims to apply appropriate privacy, data-minimisation, and privacy-by-default measures where relevant.

We aim to collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and secure the service for all users, regardless of age.

Data minimisation

Logatrade aims to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service. We do not request government identification or other sensitive data unless it is necessary for a specific, lawful purpose.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, or data breaches will never occur.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice where required, such as via email or an in-app notification.
